Resources for Autism and City & Hackney NHS Trust are delighted to be undertaking a feasibility study for a potential all age Autism Hub.
Building on initial consultations with autistic people in Hackney that identified that an autism hub could provide valuable advice, information and support, like a ‘one-stop shop’; Resources for Autism will be researching, trialling and piloting services to test what could work best. The findings from this will be pulled together in a report to make local suggestions for the future.
There are many autism hubs already operating across the country working in different ways, through learning about these and via listening to autistic people from Hackney & City, RfA will deliver a range of services, for a short term period between August and December, to explore and evaluate if and what services are needed, providing support, advice and information for autistic people and enabling autistic people, their parents and carers, to have fulfilling lives and equal opportunities.

How long will this be going on for?
The project kicked off in June and is anticipated to conclude in April 2025. Services will be trialled and piloted from August to December 2024. The remaining time will be allocated to gathering feedback, reviewing evaluations and drafting a comprehensive report with recommendations and costings for future provision.
