Terms and Conditions for Online Autism Support Services
These Terms and Conditions apply to two services offered by Resources for Autism: 1) Online support sessions for parents and carers of autistic individuals or those suspected to be autistic, and 2) Online support sessions for autistic people and those exploring their identity. Each session is one hour long and must be booked and paid for in advance.
Safeguarding and Duty of Care
We are committed to maintaining a safe and supportive environment. Any safeguarding concerns raised during a session will be handled in accordance with our safeguarding policy and may be reported to appropriate authorities if necessary.
Eligibility and Accessibility
These services are available to parents/carers of autistic individuals and autistic adults. We aim to accommodate accessibility needs where possible. Please contact us in advance to discuss any specific requirements.
Booking and Payment Terms
Sessions must be booked and paid for in advance. Accepted payment methods include Mastercard/Visa/Visa Debit/Maestro. Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of payment. Pricing is subject to change and will be communicated via our website or booking platform.
Session Use and Limitations
Sessions are intended for informational supportive purposes only. They do not constitute clinical diagnosis, therapy, or legal advice. Recommendations are based on the information provided by the user and may not be exhaustive.
Staff Availability and Session Changes
While we aim to ensure consistency in service delivery, there may be occasions when the originally assigned autism expert becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, a suitable professional from the RfA team will facilitate the session.
RfA reserves the right to change the assigned autism expert at short notice. If RfA must cancel a session due to staff unavailability or other unforeseen events, you will be contacted as soon as possible and offered alternative dates to reschedule the appointment.
In the rare event that no suitable alternative date can be found, you will be entitled to a full refund.
Rescheduling Policy
Rescheduling is permitted if requested at least 5 working days before the scheduled session. Each session may only be rescheduled once. Missed sessions without prior notice will not be refunded.
Technical Requirements
Participants must ensure they have a stable internet connection and access to a device with a working camera and microphone. Our recommendation and preference is that cameras must be turned on during the session. If this presents an issue for the participant it must be communicated to Resources for Autism before the session. Sessions must take place in a private, quiet location—public places are not permitted. If these conditions are not met, Resources for Autism reserves the right to cancel the session without refund.
Confidentiality and Privacy
Sessions are confidential and intended only for the individual who booked the session. Session invites must not be forwarded to others without prior approval. If an invite is shared, you must notify Resources for Autism with details. Attendance by third parties such as teachers, social workers, legal representatives, or healthcare professionals is not permitted. Sessions must not be recorded by any party.
Termination of Service
Resources for Autism reserves the right to refuse or terminate service if these terms are violated. Refund eligibility in such cases will be determined at our discretion.
Unacceptable Behaviour
Abuse, aggression, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated. Any such behaviour may result in immediate termination of the session and refusal of future service.
Complaints and Feedback
If you wish to provide feedback about the service, please contact us via our contact us page. If your feedback constitutes a concern or a complaint we aim to respond and resolve these promptly and fairly, as per our complaints policy if appropriate.
Data Protection and GDPR
We comply with all relevant data protection laws, including GDPR. Personal information collected during booking and sessions will be stored securely and used only for service delivery and improvement. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details.
